The next time I need advice from a Doctor of Theology, I'll write you a note.

Your comments most nearly resemble those of the "Chairman of the Anti-Science League", or a long standing Scientologist who has been taught to take on Ron Hubbard's resentments over the fact that psychiatry couldn't cure his mental illness.

Tamiflu is likely to be one of the most useful anti-virals against any flu pandemic, whether H5N1 or other variety. Unfortunately there is not enough of it, and likely will not be enough for a few years. I'm glad I purchased some for my family in case we need it sometime over the next few years.

Tony Faucci, that horrible man you dislike so much who is head of NIAID, has been pushing the government to fund a modernization of our vaccine development and production network for several years, after the fiasco at the Chiron vaccine plant in Liverpool. Bush ignored this, as he has ignored so many real problems, until their non-response to hurricane Katrina embarrased them so badly, they caved in on the vaccine production problem. The spending proposal is not what Fauci asked for but Bush, like you, has his own agenda.

You think that is all a giant conspiracy to enrich Roche Pharma or Gilead Sciences. You're entitled to your cranky eccentric views, but don't expect me to accompany you on your train ride to crazy town.
