You cared enough to "quote" Lenin twice. But let me see if I get this right, you write this stuff, but you don't really care if it is correct, because nobody cares if it is correct? So as long as you make it up, and you think it "fits"- that's ok with you? Frankly, that's pretty much how I see the Bush administration. "Fit" just means something confirms to your prejudices, imo. What is really valuable are "facts". Facts that you can back up.

I check almost everything I write. If I give you a statistic, I've tried to find it on the net before I write about it. If I say I've seen something on SI, I use advanced search to make sure I saw what I thought I saw. I find I often change my posts, because my memory was not quite as perfect as I thought it was. I wish more people would do that. It would make the posts here shorter, more valuable, and we'd actually be discussing/arguing about meaningful things, rather than misstatements, and outright lies. And that goes for right and left- since I see some pretty huge distortions on both sides- and I find no value in distortion.

Just my opinion, of course.
