"Doing their movements a great disservice" is what "they" always say when trying to put down a movement. Sort of like being "a traitor to his race" or "a traitor to her sex." You're entitled to your opinion but you only speak for yourself, not the Magisterium of the Specially Anointed. Halloween night all the boys were Jedi knights and other heroes, all the girls were princesses at best, dressed like Britney Spears, at worst. Mattel may sell doctor Barbies, lawyer Barbies, astronaut Barbies, and all the rest of it, but it hasn't penetrated the consciousness of the American female.
