right so you have a kid that goes there and what do you do David... do you do the courageous thing and state openly that this war is a mistake and make your views known as a parent or do you do what most "military families" do... stand up and salute this stupid war and our stupid president because in reality you just want to believe that serving in harms way is worth something, because your kid is there?

YOUR STUPID! They go on their own volition. You cant talk them out of it you stupid .... Huge numbers were victims of the "back door draft" meaning they are national guardsmen who never intended to do active duty . I think you should not call others stupid if you are not even informed of this simple fact. You could probably find some community college courses on remedial reading and spelling.
