It will be interesting to see what numbers the Congressional Budget Office attach to each of the proposals from Connie Mack's commission. They have the computer model, I can only speculate and infer from numbers I find on Google. A lot of these tax subsidies are far more substantial in size than most realize. I think removing the deductibility of some of these major subsidies is a fair trade-off for removing the Alternate Minimum Tax, which at the end of the day is just another train to the same destination. .
