Yes, I agree. All administrations have had their own peculiar scandals. Some do more permanent damage than others. Obviously, Clinton's escapades haven't encouraged a whole lot of Democrats to get out and vote for their own party members--locally or nationally-- in the years since he was in office.

By the way, the lead editorial in today's WSJ is worth reading for Lizzie and others who like to discuss the reasons for going to war in Iraq.

I personally wish we'd cut bait and get out of there before more lives are lost, but then I'm not a foreign policy expert--just a taxpaying citizen.

While getting a haircut a couple weeks ago, none other than Colin Powell walked in to deliver something to an employee in the shop. Everyone greeted him warmly, and he looked as casual as can be, wearing a baseball cap and plaid flannel shirt. Couldn't help but think if things were going the way he sees it after serving many years in government and the military, he'd still be working for Bush. Not sure whether he was pushed out or left voluntarily. I'd guess voluntarily.
