DAK, the CFA people have never had an original or a discerning thought. They accept gospel and heresy equally as long as the industry adopts it. Which is one reason why the institute spawns lousy investors, for the most part. Gene Fama was one of my professors and considered one of the top investment theory researchers in the graduate school racket. He is very bright, but he wouldn't know a successful investment from a lemon meringue pie, except that he deserved to be hit in the face by both.

What amazes me is that everyone on Wall Street involved in the flim flam got fired, demoted or quietly hidden, but the academic geeks got promoted and received more kudos from their "we love ourselves" professional organizations. <VBG>
