I contend he found out the way we all did. I am trying to find the original Post article to see the context of his statement.

"He said then that he concluded the Niger intelligence was based on a document that had clearly been forged because 'the dates were wrong and the names were wrong."

In the quote from your article it is impossible to tell when "then" is. If the order had been, "He said that he concluded then the Niger intelligence was based on a document that had clearly been forged because 'the dates were wrong and the names were wrong." That would truly be a misstatement and characterized as a lie.

This is a reprint of the Post article. But even this is clearly stating that Wilson never saw nor implied that he saw the forged documents.

I am beginning to wonder where the beef is.
