ROTFL You guys only post from the zany leftwinger FMSM. Nobody reads anything they say without a bucket nearby. I am going to clue you in because you appear to be seriously outside the loop. For the past three years, I have been trading a lot of oil and NG stocks. Many of the companies are based in TX aka Bush country.....so I check out the Yahoo boards to see what they are saying about a particular stock. From time to time, one of the posters will start trashing the 'libs' of the world.........the typical BS from the right wing. I have never said anything because I am there to gleen info on oil stocks and I keep my political rantings limited to SI, particularly this thread. On those rare times when someone has objected to the criticims leveled at the anti Bush people, those people have been badly trashed by the Bush supporters, and have ended up leaving the board. Well Tuesday, on this one board I post on from time to time, some butthead started ranting about the 'libs', socialists and commies, and how they are hurting Bush. I started to leave and then got angry, and decided to go after the dude. That's usually not too hard to do....they rarely have any grasp of the facts. How they have shut up people in the past is through their overwhelming numbers.......since many oil investors are Bush supporters. Actually, I need to change that.........since many WERE Bush supporters! When I went back today after two days absense, I expected I would be trashed from one end of the board to the other. BTW on this board on a good day, they may get 10-20 posts max. In fact, I was not trashed........the few people who tried to trash me were outnumbered by the people who were trashing my antagonists........and the board generated 200 posts in two days. I was stunned at the number of people who agreed with me and of that number, how many were Republicans. I am only telling you this so that you understand the dramatic shift that has occurred and continues to occur in this country over the past year. The mood of the nation is much different now......so much so, if Bush were to run today, he'd lose by a landslide. The mask over his administration is off enough that many people are disgusted. That means the wing of the GOP that continues to support Bush has become isolated and out of step with the majority. They can hide behide their claims that the mainstream media doesn't represent the majority but would be wrong. In fact, the MSM represents the majority now. I suspect it always did.......I think the Republicans who support Bush have always been a minority for the most part until 9/11.........but I think it's proving to be temporary effect that's reverting back to the norm. Just a heads up!
