Mish, this is good stuff on Productivity and Compensation from Dr. Kash:

Excerpts:
"Real compensation growth that is below productivity growth means that unit labor costs fell during the quarter. That's good news for the US's inflation prospects; if unit labor costs were rising, the pressures on inflation would rise as well."

And after some analysis, his conclusion:
"To me, this suggests that the labor market is still quite weak. And while good news on the inflation front, that could spell trouble for economic growth."
