Stretch, David didn't say that.

He's never said anyone that opposes the war is insulting a solider or his and her family.

He said you can't blame parents/family for what their children or relative decides to do.

I'm against the Iraq war (bin Laden was in Afghanistan, not Iraq), but David is correct: children have their own paths to decide and parents shouldn't and cannot control this (even if ones opinion differs.) You have to respect a person's opinion no matter how different it is from yours.

Of course, if a person has their facts wrong (as in the case of people that have never traveled into Iraq so erroneously think women did not have it better before the war and erroneously think Christians didn't work in Iraqi's govt), you can most certainly correct their inaccurate information.

>>>>insulting a soldier and his family<<<<<

When one says your SON died in vain your insulting that sons memory. Such is but your opinion and that dead boy had opinions too. Honor those dead they deserve it and respect those that serve still.
