"The new wave of killings underscores the cynicism of the claims that the referendum embodied the birth of democracy in Iraq"

The Bushies argument has changed again. Their one 'strategy' is to arm soldiers and policement to crack down on Iraq. Funny, you'd think 'free' people bestowed with 'democracy' wouldn't have any need for cracking down.

I wonder how many quiet little meetings the US military has musing about how Saddam kept such a tight grip on his country for so long....and can they learn anything from him.
