Fascism is private ownership of the means of production, with government control. I don't think there is any other statement I have made to JohnM over the years that has got his back up more than calling today's left "Fascists." They insist that concept is the property of the far right. The left goes into fits of anger over this concept. I used it back in the 70's as "Ralph Nader is America's leading Fascist." Of course, the right uses it all the time when it suits their purposes. John McCain tends to push Fascism.
