>>>Consider that the biggest game in college football Saturday will be played not in Austin, Texas, or Los Angeles, not in Lincoln, Nebraska or Norman, Okla., not in Columbus, Ohio or Ann Arbor, Mich., not in Baton Rouge, La., or Tuscaloosa, Ala., or Knoxville, Tenn., Gainesville, Fla., or any other 'ville.<<

Actually it will be played in state college, PA -g-

I think one man was ultimately responsible for getting Tech into the ACC and that man is Gov. Mark Warner. He put the pressure on the chancellor of UVA to veto any proposal that did not include VT.

It's hard for a visiting team to understand how a Hokie thinks. I have been through the Charlie Coffee and Jimmy Sharp years. I went through I think it was Beamers third year when he went 3 and 8.

The loyal coaching staff, guys life coach Hite and coach Foster, who could have taken head jobs many years ago.

Well, hope you can make it Sat night. We will get there around 2:30 for the 7:45 kick off. This is the biggest game in history at Lane Stadium. The eyes of the nation will be upon us....Gregor.

Miami and Boston College were promoted from the Big East, and in an utterly embarrassing response, the other football playing Big East schools -- Connecticut, Pittsburgh, Rutgers, West Virginia and, yes, Virginia Tech -- sued the ACC.

I'd like to add that one of the football playing Big East schools was not part of that lawsuit...Syracuse University.

Although at this point "football playing" might be debatable?

Tough loss tonight..reminded me of a couple of past SU/VT games where one team or the other would dominate.

I still think that this is one of VT's better football teams. Just wasn't your night.
