"Don't look at me !" :

That's what I said, one day before our plant closed for
Christmas-New Years shut-down for holidays a few years ago.

This happened when the Controller asked me to make bank
deposits for our 5 top executives of their year-end
bonus checks. (The executives had already left early
that day and were taking their holiday time-off)

The executives banked at 5 different Dallas banks, and it
would have taken me a half-day out of the office to do
what was asked. And I was in the middle of making year-end
closing entries.

What was amazing, those particular executives had unusually
large checks....the largest was over one million....the
smallest was $400,000....and they were too lazy to come
pick them up....and asked that I make their deposits for
them.....

I restrained myself because I almost said, "HELL NO !!".

The next year I retired, and I was glad to be gone.
