Yeah.. and the same point can be made about "recruiting Mujs" by invading Afghanistan... What are we supposed to DO??!!! Sit on our @sses and take it?? Do nothing and hope they don't actually manage to develop chemical, biological, or go forbid, nuclear, weapons?? The strategy is to make the bad guys have to focus their efforts and resources on the Middle East, forcing them to fight amongst their fellow muslims who are finding out, are just as likely to become victims of terrorism as an indidel Westerner or hated Jew... And they don't like it... And while I don't think this was deliberately on anyone's mind, the worst outcome is going to be a civil war between muslim creeds, Sunna versus Shi'a... And while they won't bode well for energy prices.. making them fight each other is better than their having enough time to think about flying more aircraft into Skyscrapers... There is definite merit in "attracting" them to Iraq and away from the homeland.. And look at France.. They stayed out of the war and look at how they are being repaid... Riots in the suburbs of Paris... I'm sure they could care less about muslims coming to Iraq to wage Jihad.. Better here, than in their own country.. But that's a very Machiavellian description.. All I want are for Moderate, educated, Arabs, muslim or whatever... to rise up and tell these militants.. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!! And I think we're seeing that happen more and more over the past couple of months.. At least they (the local Gulf states) are doing more talking about it.. Hawk
