If you are an mp3 firm, you would rather buy from Intel

If you are an MP3 firm, you would rather buy from the company that sells at the lowest price. If that is Samsung, so be it. Any MP3 manufacturer that attempts to do otherwise will quickly go out of business.

Samsung makes an order of magnitude more money off of NAND memory than they do off of MP3 players. They could care less about the dozens of tiny flash MP3 manufacturers. If they were going to try and hurt somebody in the MP3 business, the only target that matters is Apple anyway.

This decision made total sense for Samsung on a straight dollars and cents basis.
