Looks like Dan and companies spin machine is still going strong at CBS.

CBS has a new poll out that trumpets an all-time low job approval rating for President Bush. Fortunately, we now have analysts like our friend Tom Bevan of Real Clear Politic who know how to read polls. Tom reports that CBS "weighted" their sample so it included an appropriate number of Republicans. That is, a whopping 23.8%.

Let's see: we have a Republican President, who was re-elected with the most votes ever cast for a Presidential candidate, a Republican House and a Republican Senate; but poll results should be weighted on the assumption that only 23.8% of the population are Republicans? Right.

The stunner: strong support for Dumbya is at 20%. That's stunning since there are more than 20% who claim to be Republicans and another chunk who claim to be security moms.

Plus you have to figure that 80% of the country doesn't pay very good attention to news, doesn't know about the DSM, doesn't know about the $10B missing in Iraq, isn't paying attention to Afghanistan falling apart or the weak federalism and sharia instated with the Constitution.
