Our earthquakes come at anytime, last 20 seconds at the most and seldom do much damage.

Ken, One of my daughters went to medical school at UCSF when her husband was at Stanford and I was glad that she graduated the year before the earthquake that collapsed some of the double deck expressways.

One of my sons that graduated from medical school at Yale,N.H. also spent 2 years doing research at Moffitt at UCSF and both of them did experience some "minor ones" when they were there.

I prefer to have advance notice that a storm is coming rather than knowing that a " big one is overdue and could come at any time".<g>
