I have a piece of real estate data that I cannot quite explain yet.

Yesterday, I indirectly heard from an old client who owns a ton properties in the less desirable, lowest rent areas of San Diego. They have a 10% vacancy rate right now, which is something they have never experienced in 20+ years of operating in that category of rental housing. I am not sure if it is just a fluke or is it telling us something. If latter, what?
