LOL! As an Anglo-Saxon's mother's son,I believe there is real and widespread envy and jealousy in almost each and every post by EL and TJ.They have serious SUV envy! One thing America can do and does often is CHANGE itself, and that goes for SUV's too! They are getting smaller and more car like every new car season.Maybe they recommend that the French handle their young like the Chinese do and did...what was it called Tienamien square?Shoot down hundreds of college kids because they want their voice heard?

Changing the 'metaphor for America': Brazilian engineers will design the new, smaller Hummer 3 this year. (An ethanol powered Hummer perhaps). Then, the Hummer 3 will leave Brazil for South Africa, where assemblers will prepare it for the European export markets in 2006.

Lets see what can we do to fix GM.

Carlos Ghosn already fixed Nissan, now he heads a combo of Nissan/Renault. Pretty soon the Brazilians will fix this industry up.
