Ted, When I read that a 22 year old Afghan man, the father of 3 small kids...a husband, son and taxi driver, innocent of any wrong doing......was tortured to death because it was good sport These were Americans who tortured the Afghan family? Where is the proof? I thought the worst that happened in American-controlled prisons was men being forced to pose in humiliating pictures. Think again. There is a lot worse going on in these prisons then just sexual abuse. The disclosures about what was happening in Afghanistan came out in a military trial over a year ago.......when Americans saw no evil, heard no evil, told no evil. The story soon made the back pages of most papers. I don't know what happened to the guys who perpetrated the torture. I think they were found guilty. I posted the original story from the NY Times on this site but I can't fine it now. However, this is a good facsimile: informationclearinghouse.info Let me assure you that if this country makes it beyond the current mess, I will do everything in my power to make sure ole Rummie, Bush and Cheney pay for what has happened in these prisons. It is third world behavior at its worst.
