From the stupid reporter case file... On November 3, Charles Thompson, sentenced to death for killing his ex-girfriend and her boyfriend, escaped from a Houston prison. Thompson had also tried to hire hitmen to kill witnesses against him. So would you want your name prominently mentioned in any story about the guy? Cathy Lange, who served on a resentencing jury that recommended the death penalty for Thompson on Oct. 28, said she was terrified when she learned of Thompson's escape.
