Bush got down and dirty during the war of his generation.

I hear he severely injured himself when he passed out at the country club bar and hit his head.

Sounding a little testy and defensive there, aren't we. Ali was more honest about not wanting to go to Viet Nam, and had fewer options avaiable to him. And none of his dad's buddies were running for Congress, so the option of working on a campaign in lieu of completing service wasn't there either.

GW's guilt pushed him to honor Ali and his honesty.
