paret, As you probably know, Audie was an excellent marksman before he ever joined the Army. His Daddy took off during the depression, and it was up to Audie to hunt enough game to feed the family. There are heroes in modern day combat, but because of the tactics, and weaponry, there cannot be another Audie, or Sgt. York. Did you know that the family of George Armstrong Custer called him by the nickname of Audie? Just a tidbit from the book about Custer, and Crazy Horse,which was carefully researched and accurate.
