More likely spontaneous bands of youth, frustrated with not having a job, and not seeing enough hope for one in the future going crazy

I think that's part of it, Mike. But there are plenty of frustrated, disaffected, jobless European French youth too. The added ingredient is their Muslim identity, IMO. Marx would have recognized it as a sort of "class consciousness" - they're experiencing a sort of radicalized muslim self-identification, fuelled by watching the glorification of Palestinian violence and jihad on TV and in their mosques. They've learned that extreme violence is an acceptable reaction to a perceived slight or wrong.

I accepted that was at least part of the game until I learned warehouses/apartments holding weapons, ammo, explosives, bomb making equipment, gasoline, firebomb containers and chemicals have been found. One was in Paris.

That is a lot more organized than any disaffected youth I know could make happen.

It seems to me the spontaneity is pure msm fiction or perhaps more official denial.
