Scooter Libby was Marc Rich's #1 attorney for many-many years and was paid 2 million dollars for his services. Assuming $500 per hour do the math. That's a lot of help Scooter gave the the source of rightwing's favorite "CLinton outrage". Also you leave out the story that Scooter called and congratulated his client Rich for getting pardoned. Scooter then became assistant to Bush and Cheney's righthand man.

As for Denise Rich, since she's his ex-wife, we don't know if her giving money to democratic causes had anything to do with her ex-husband's pardon. Maybe she was buttering up Clinton, but what is worse, WorldCom bilking hundreds of billions and paying off Trent Lott a million bucks, and Enron bilking tens of billions from investors and letting Bush run opersations out of their office, or Clinton getting a six figure amount for his library from Denise Rich?

Marc Rich did not bilk the US economy out of hundreds of billions, or even billions, he was just evading taxes and breaking whatever securities rules he broke doing his private business. That's criminal and he's a big shark, but it's not earth shattering like Enron and WorldCom. Plus Scooter Libby was Marc's main man before Scooter worked for Cheney so Rich is obviously no democrat.
