Everyone was for disarming Saddam and that's why UN inspectors were in there. Our real threat of force (troops massed in Kuwait) was the teeth which made Saddam comply and let the UN inspectors go anywhere they wanted. But Bush didn't want the UN inspectors in there. He wanted to rush in and grab those oilfields, while Rove used the war as a hammer to steal the 2002 midterms so Dems would have no subpoena powers to investigate Bushie crimes.
