I think women actually had it better when they were just viewed as baby machines who would keep the home. Now they get to work AND be baby machines And keep the home (if a home is going to be kept). What a great leap forward.

I suppose if you don't consider choice and self determination a leap forward over being confined to baby making or teaching/typing. I do. There are many more choices now. Some of them are unattractive. Like in anything else, the trick is to make the right choices.

Perhaps we just saw different objectives in the women's movement.
