We are not even half way there yet.

You want equality of results. That is characteristic of your political persuasion. You're entitled to aim for that. But I don't think that's what the women's movement was about, not the movement I was part of. That's a different movement.

I wish MORE WOMEN FELT AS YOU DO. Then there might be hope. However, there is an ennui that we have it good enough . Or this is my sense of women today..

Coming from a very conservative home where if Mother got out to play bridge several times a week she felt fortunate... I have been reared with being grateful for what one has rather than to have been really active in the Women's Lib movement.

However I too blanch that we will have no representation on the SC.... We also have women in Congress but how many and then when I woman becomes too outspoken, albeit Weinstein.. or Hillary they incite all kinds of verbal abuse... I am sufficiently sensitive for Hillary, a woman whom I respect not to run for political office outside of New York.. I just have an intense dislike for the way that the politicians destroy ones reputation.. Poor Ann Richards, being called a Lesbian and Hillary the same. It's open season on women sometimes and I think that this is just not worth the effort. But one has to remember that I am from the old school and it's time that the second wave storm the beaches for women's rights..
