paret, I just returned from Turkey. It's about 95% Muslim. There was one minor incident of anti-Americanism in eastern Turkey. Other than that, the Turks (Muslims mosltly, remember?) could not have been nicer. My wife speaks about 4 words of Turkish; I can handle about a dozen. We'd be lost in a crowded, confusing city. Between what we could say, maps, and sign language, we'd make it clear where we needed to go (back to the hotel for the night, usually). Invariably, someone would motion "follow me" and lead us there.

The currency is different, of course. Doesn't look like ours. Makes cheating easy. To our knowledge, we never were. We did keep count. There were cases in which people came running after us to return accidental overpayment.

Are these the Muslims you're slamming?
