Here is a situation real life, I started investing in 1985 for my Kids, in index fund which I cashed in 2000 because I reached my target and put them in bond fund last year when They went to the college of there choice it paid all dues, Tell me where I was scammed ? and where I lost. As a trader it could be scam I agree but as investor I disagree with you, Dollar cost averaging does not guarantee but your odds are better in long run, so far what ever current data is available that gives me this conclusion.
JMHOP.
Peace, Best of luck to you all.
