The pattern you are representing the negative side of is far from specific to wallmart but is rather the normal operation of a capitalist market to seek efficancy. Long before wallmart people would seek the lowest cost supplier. This is hardly something new. Wallmart has more of an effect the other specific actors in the market because it is so big, but even if wallmart had never been created the same type of "creative destruction" would be occuring.
