Bush had inspectors on the ground telling him there were no WMDs. Clinton had the best guesses of the CIA, which had no spies in Iraq, and itself relied on the testimonies of refugees with agendas. Not enough to invade a country. Bush really had even less "probable cause". I heard a great joke about how we KNEW they had WMD's - "We had the receipts!" from the '80's! But apparently all that really had been destroyed during the sanctions of the 90's, which had been much more effective than they ever got credit for being, especially from the right.

Ted, Such crap.......you know damn well that Bush claimed to have intel more up to date than that in 1998. So what part of the intelligence was made up? The 1998 info that Saddam had WMD, or the 2002 info that Saddam had WMD?< It was speculation.......speculation that the CIA frowned upon but the Bush administration chose to accept as evidence to go to war. None of this stuff is news. For years now, we have talked about these same points over and over again. Yesterday, you expressed surprise about the tortured Afghan. That's not news either........its been discussed on this thread and on the news quite a lot. Are you purposely shutting this stuff out so you don't have to deal with it? And more importantly does none of this stuff bother you? Your gov't is lying to you. Is that okay with you?
