No you're being a bigot all by yourself, you don't need press help.

NO SALE.

Rightwing talking points designed only to perpetuate the idea of dictatorship in the US of A and a constant flow of war profiteering and corporate welfare for Republican criminals....

Today, the papers are saying the violence has little to do with ME terrorism. I find it horribly naive to accept the fact that a group of Arabs flipping buses and setting them on fire will not be corrupted by Al Quaeda in the near future, if they are not already. Europeans need to face the fact that the Arabs and N African Muslims have no intention of integrating into French society any more than the Pakistani kids up in Leeds. I can appreciate the fact that they are trying to put some lipstick on this pig, but the situation is going to get much worse unless they start prosecuting these kids as terrorists. One article mentioned the anyone caught in the act of vandalism, as opposed to terrorism, would be put in jail for up to 2 months. They need to start putting these kids away for 10 to 20 years at the minimum. Anyone that resorts to the destruction of personal property to demonstrate the fact they don't fit into society needs to be put away in a very special place as long as possible. IMO, they should also start arresting the liberals that are damaging suvs to protest gas guzzlers. I think they are sending out the wrong message that attack on private property can be a legitimate means of demonstration. NOT!!

Hi Bob Foghorn; Re: "I find it pathetic that Chiraq is apologizing to these people for not blending them into French society more effectively. You can not bend over to these Arabs or North Africans just because they can't find work in a country to which they have no cultural identification."

The way I understand it, France let a lot of those people into France because they fought on France's side during the Algerian conflict. And I think that trying to blend them into French culture is better done belatedly than not at all.

One of the greatest strength of the US is its ability to turn foreigners into natives. France, in fact any country, would do well to imitate us.

After the collapse in Iraq, we'll probably have a lot of Iraqis move to this country just like we had Vietnamese move here after the collapse there. I doubt our problems will be as severe as France's because we are bigger, we're better at assimilating, and the numbers moving here are likely to be a lot smaller.
