"It could very well be the last film standing at this year's Oscars," a top Hollywood producer not associated with the film explained from Hollywood.

We can only hope. An Oscar for this film would only highlight how out insulated and out-of-touch the Hollywood elites are with the rest of the country.

This is what it's all about for them:

NEW YORK DAILY NEWS critic Jack Mathews predicts the gay cowboy movie, which takes place in Wyoming, may be "too much for red-state audiences, but it gives the liberal-leaning Academy a great chance to stick its thumb in conservatives' eyes."

And what's with the title - BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN

Is that some sort of play on words? See below.

PS - I can't believe Larry McMurtry wrote the screenplay.

Gay cowboys are a gay fantasy, along with construction workers, etc., anybody "butch."

Part of the "all straight men are really gay" cant

There is a large gay mafia in Hollywood, using movies to push their agenda

Here, they have name actors and money for a glossy production.

It will only increase the isolation of Hollywood, and impact their already falling grosses

Hollywood keeps insisting the box office downturn is only cyclical

That's also delusional
