Oh ouch....that's why I no longer can go into the ocean, unless it is like glass.

Last summer, my daughter and I were caught in a rip tide (we are both life guards by the way) so we knew what to do. The problem was when we finally were able to make it back to shore, it was quite rough and the waves kept beating me back. Even with my daughter helping me, I had a hard time getting out of the water and every time I fell back, my spine felt like I'd dislocated another disc. I love the water, but now must swim mostly in the pool...

Pity we have to get old, isn't it?
