Brianh, TJ obviously thinks that all QUALCOMM has going is CDMA. He might have to pay up even for his GPRS [or Nokia will do so on his behalf, or whoever sold him GPRS].

<Nokia is disappointed QUALCOMM has taken this step given they have yet to engage in any licensing negotiations concerning these matters. With respect to the patents alleged to be essential to the GSM/GPRS/EDGE standards, QUALCOMM has a duty to license those patents on fair, reasonable and non-discriminatory terms. QUALCOMM has not provided Nokia with any proposed terms for a license in compliance with its litigations.. >

I robbed a house and was disappointed when the owners caught me. I explained that I was disappointed that they just called the police instead of telling me how much I should have paid to take their property.

It's quite ironic that QUALCOMM is right now collecting royalties on GSM phones which include CDMA technology and even GPRS is perhaps royalty liable.

All great fun and highly profitable for QCOM
