Industrial revolution ethanol production is useful, as is continued growing of wheat for bread. But leading edge intellectual creativity is where the seriously valuable action is. That's the patent world, or intellectual secrets.

I think I'll stick with that stuff. There are plenty of people who like the material investment world and find it more real and comfortable, albeit less profitable.

Of course there are thieves and patent breakers to be kept at bay. That's what civilization is for. Many if not most people are still mostly stuck in the concept of wealth as something that is found, or at best grown, or made in iron-age and industrial revolution "work". Far too many still see wealth as something limited, to be taken by force from other people, or stealth, or democracy.
