Republicans trying to shift blame to everyone but themselves: the liberals, the Dems, the Iraqis, Cindy Sheehan, Clinton.....

Have you noticed that the rightwing talkingpoints center around saying that Clinton and the everyone else in the world thought Saddam had WMDs? Therefore, the Bushies were only acting upon what everyone else agreed was the case?

BALONEY.

The one set of people WHO KNEW Saddam absolutely positively for sure that Saddam had no WMDs was: THE BUSHIES.

Everyone else was relying, for good reason, on the inspections. The Bushies, OTOH, had $50 billion (ok, $44 billion) of intelligence a year that said Saddam WAS NOT A THREAT.

The Bushies thought Iraq was going to be so easy that they even considered toppling Saddam before moving on to Afghanistan. What kind of an imminent, fearsome threat is that easy to topple?
