but when 9/11 happened, there was a meeting shortly after the event, in which the good moslems made it clear that they did not condone the attack. Why did they have to meet over this? Seems to me they should have condemned the attack immediately and unanimously. Instead we heard some faint praise, then nothing for weeks, then they mildly condemned it. Make no doubt about it the false prophet wanted death for Christians and Jews, if they did not convert.

Geoff, I might add that I consider any religion that tries to force others to join them, are in the wrong. For example, the Crusades were an exercise in futility, and got a lot of people killed for no good reason. I believe that there was a zealous leadership in the Christian faith, that were intent on forcing their form of religion on other societies. Going to war in the name of religion, is totally against the teachings of Jesus. Some people that disagree with a merchant, for whatever the cause, are afraid to speak up, and inform the merchant why they are no longer going to patronize that establishment. That accomplishes nothing to change the position of the offending merchant. The FBI seized volumes of evidence against this guy, and three associates, and I believe they will throw the book at them. The odd thing is, that with all this proof, the educational clique of USF, complained about him being fired because he had tenure. So much for the loyalty of American professors. It was obvious that Sadaam was not going to be content with just owning Iraq, and subjecting the Iraqis into servitude, and had visions of world domination. We had to let the rest of the muslim world know that we would not let such activities threaten the rest of the world, and would use force to prevent it. Even without the international view, Sadaam had murdered over 300,000 of the innocent citizens of Iraq, merely because they disagreed with him. If everybody else in the world refused to stop such a murderer, it was up to us to do the job. It might be considered a diry job, but somebody had to do it.
