Thank you,

Yes it is good everyone does their little part. And to do so, it does cause one a little inconvenience, but not much.. We do have a farly large pantry-utility room and it is usually stuffed with Costco size provisions. So that part is okay. We do forsake a lot of "elective" trips, like the movies, last weekend, (Goodnight and Good Luck) because we didn't want to waste a trip to town. Run into town just for that. So we done something else and saved some energy.. But we are not perfect by a long shot, as we do take a lot of elective trips.

I remember hearing how Nixon would turn on the air conditioner just so he could have a fire in the fireplace in the middle of the summer.. Even then, I thought oh' boy. I think my upbringing had a lot to do with my feelings on this subject and how to "make do", sort of speak.

And then I think Carter asked people to turn down the thermostat and put a sweater on (and then they, his detractors, I mean, mocked him for it).. I just wonder who is the dem and who is the repub here trying to do the best for their country.. <g>

But so it goes..
