Interesting article outlining the Muslim view of what should be done with Israel-Palestine.

Iran means what it says about Israel

gulf-news.com

Khamenei described Ahmadinejad's controversial remarks as a re-statement of "the well-established and long-held positions of the Islamic Republic".

"We have always said that the only future for the Zionist entity [i.e. Israel] is death and destruction," he told the cheering crowds.

According to Manuchehr Mottaki, the Islamic republic's new foreign minister, the elimination of Israel does not mean that all Jews would have to leave. Some, especially those born in Israel, could stay and become citizens of the new Palestinian state.

Sounds like a fine option to me, if he didn't feel the need to toss in this part.....

"Jews and other minorities have always lived in peace under Islamic rule," Mottaki told a gathering of Iran's ambassadors in Tehran last month. "What matters in Islam is that Muslims should hold the reins of power."
