Could almost say , that anthem evokes exactly a religious tone to it , ala the eternal search for the discovery of the "promised land".

Click your heels together three times , Glenda the good Witch advised,
and speak the words :
"no place like home , no place like home "

They came by the 100's of thousands , staked out the land & shot the buffalo for sport and the Buffalo were no more . They settled the land with work animals and the till , doing what man does . Tilled the earth too deep and the topsoil blew away , and dark clouds rose up to engulf entire states and their lives blew were blown away into dust .

Then came the age of the tractor and the huge combines , and planting machines , super resistant strains of crops . Where one man could do what it would have taken 10,000 before and enter the age of the nitrates. Yet still today out of every dollar the farmer creates , he barely makes 15c .

But we do only what we know to do , and In God We Trust , of course . There is always the other promised land to come .
