He is the highest ranking administration official of any administration to be indicted in, what, 80 years? A poll today, printed on this thread, indicate that four out of five americans think his indictment and the subsequent handling of his case are "important". I agree. The President has wide authority to pardon. 80 percent of the American people think it is important to know IF (and I say if, as we certainly have no conviction or plea) he obstructed justice (very important) or commited Perjury (very important) or made false statements (important). Speculation of a pardon has been made. I think it would be a terrible mistake for GWB to do so, and explained why he won't do so.

Why don't you think it important that a close advisor to the Vice-President has been accused of such crimes?
