OTOH in typical media fashion the article didn't get to the core and actually put the wording in:

So we really don't know what their beef is. It seems to me that anyone going for a walk and stopping to ponder just about any plant on the planet would agree with at least the term "intelligent design". This may actually be an important distinction from the 'wacko creationists' who think god created the world in 7 literal days and nothing has changed since.
