Very incisive post, I think. only one other thing. It looks like the CIA had the names of 18 terrorist taking lessons on how to fly Boeing Jets IN THIS COUNTRY, but were pissed because of that government thingy that said the CIA was not supposed to spy on US soil, so they sort of gave the names to the FBI in a database that they knew Louie Freeh didn't know how to use. That covered their ass but it solved the interdepartmental rivalry by playing on the know stupidity of Louis Freeh. So now, I am guessing, Bush gives us the NEW Homeland Security which allows the CIA to investigate US citizens, and cost the country 250 Billion to form which in effect destroyed FEMA. Bush knows he will need an SS type organization at time goes on. But if Hurricane Katrina had been started by the Russians, we would not have been short in the shooting civilians department this time. That is why all FEMA could do for the first week was to shoot people in grocery stores trying to get something to eat. And of course, if that absolute lack of intelligence on the part of the CIA and the FBI is true. Doesn't that really fit with Bush's treatment of high paid government jobs as Political Slop. And if you think about that, doesn't that go a long way toward understanding what is wrong with our system now? It is very simular to having a good company ruined by terrible greedy self serving management. THINK ABOUT THIS: The price of oil has not go up. The dollar has come down about 100%. Clinton, as much as you hate him, knew how to prevent this. He had the intellectual understanding and integrity. Bush.......well, sort of doesn't have the intellectual understanding.....
