Because your whole premise as wrong. It is not historically Muslim land. If you want to go back in history, then Jews have lived on that land longer than Muslims. Jews were living on that land before the Arabs there were known as Palestinians. The earliest form of Palestinian may have been the Philistines mentioned in the Bible. Jews were around then as well. Jews have a long, long history there that goes back prior to the founding of Islam.
