Ruff is calling for a fair playing field which will never happen. If it did happen, that would be the outcome. ruff is against any kind of naked shorting and anyone with more availability to short or do other things that he can't. He wants to eliminate all shorting indirectly and he's too small a man to admit that would be the outcome. It's not like the nasd and sec would all of a sudden say; "Sure thing, let's let everyone short and make borrows easier for all". pipe dreams While I agree with the idea I think the outcome would be bad or worthless for all just like you said no one would really care how many shares are shorted or even know what that means. BTW Raven jsut posted the naked shorting news release, see what I mean? That and the example of what Catfish just posted is very typical of the naked short crowd from what I've seen. Little knowledge and lots of screaming. Why continue to perpetuate a lie?
