Viewer - let me try again - maybe making it a bit simpler.

I'm for full disclosure. You seem to be critical of "stupid" longs who buy crappy companies and then get killed with convertible deals.

I'm for "telling it like it is," not providing a scam for hedge funds, MM's and vulture lenders.

If a company can only get a deal with interest rates of 50% or 100%, then let it disclose that. The convertible deals are deals that pretend the interest rate is reasonable, but really provide a return many times that to the vultures and their shorting associates, e.g., hedge funds and MM's, which you seem to want to "protect" and defend against this awful disclosure.

If we prevent these deals, or we require full disclosure before selling or shorting the shares, then the vultures will find someway to do deals. There have always been loansharks. The difference is that they will have to take the "vigorish" from those on the inside instead of us retail investors, whom these scammers seem to see as tackle dummies that can be robbed with ease.

You make no sense at all Viewer. You have blamed most bad trades on these deals. Yet, you would allow them to continue. Apparently, the reason is that to prohibit them or to disclose the details IN ADVANCE would be to hurt those who are your "friends."

If you are trying to ask me whether I would prefer no shorts and no manipulation or unfettered shorting that includes manipulation, I'd prefer the former. I also don't see why that would prevent a crack down on scamming insiders who trade ahead of deals and manipulate in other ways. I think a fight against manipulation takes this all into consideration. I have no favorite sons in this game as you seem to do.

Here is one of the articles. This one was posted by rick. I know I've posted elsewhere similarly. Thanks for this one, worthy of a read.

Forgot to send you this link. It's an excellent comment, giving a very detailed explanation of the scam and its nasty criminal tentacles.
